According to the person who uploaded this to YouTube, it’s from a kung fu movie called “The Dragon Must Sleep”. Anyone out there familiar with it?

Hmmm, there’s a not-very-helpful web site:

Looks like some kind of student project, IF it’s the same film…

Interesting: the bagua practitioner in the film is Sui Yunjiang, a 4th generation bagua lineage holder, and top student of Li Zi Ming. He still runs classes in Beijing… worth remembering when I go there next…

Strange thing is, in the movie they put “Baguazhang Master” in caps? I mean, if it is on a movie, wouldn’t make sense. Great form, though.

But, well, that’s a movie I already want to see!

(by the way, I think this skin for the blog is great!)

Hmm – I thought Ma Chuanxu was the top student of Li Ziming! ;)

There are many other students of Li Ziming in Beijing: Zhao Dayuan, Di Guoyong, Ma Ling, Wang Tong, Li Gongcheng, Zhang Quanliang, etc.

The movie seems to be a student project of some sort, like you said…

Hehehe – well, that’s what it said on his website :-) Guess I should name my sources! Actually, I’m not familiar with Li Ziming’s students, not having studied that style (… yet…?)

Master Sui Yunjiang will be coming to the US for the first time in September and will be giving seminars on Baguazhang and Meihuazhuang in New York City and Connecticut. We’ve posted more info on the Events section of the http://www.beijingbagua.com
website.
